Organizing a Crew of Athletes for your Rowing Club
Organising athletes can be a major job, and a major pain, but we’re going to help make it a little bit easier for you. Structure is everything, and it all starts with a few simple lists. Setup a list using these keys concepts.
The Specifics Under ‘Contact Me’ you should outline specific times of the week and day that members can get in touch with you because you deserve to have your own time too. For example I do not want to get called after 9 pm or on Sundays.
SMS brings organising athletes to a whole new, beautiful level. In the days of old when you used to have to call every single member of a team to set a rowing practice or change a meet time, now you can just send one mass text. If some of your athletes have rejected technology and don’t have a cell phone, you can use email or Facebook instead. This saves you the hassle of having to make a million unique phone calls.
Social chat Apps – Get the crew to agree to one App and stick with it, Set agreed social and cultural boundaries around what the app can be used for.
However it’s good to have phone numbers for those emergency situations, so don’t neglect that column.
