Boathouse

Last week, SSRS had the privilege of installing their Sliding Arm Boat racks in the ANU (Australian National University) Boathouse in Canberra. As you can see from the 'before' pictures, the boathouse was a bit limited with it's storage options. And do we have to mention the struggle their crews inevitably faced when retrieving their boats from the top of the stationary racks? Does it look familiar? In the past few months, SSRS has had the pleasure of working with one of the fastest growing and exciting rowing organisations in the US. Founded on a vision to support, promote, and expand the sport of rowing, RowAmerica is setting the standard in club development around a model of a centralized administration that creates nurturing environments for athletes and coaches alike, and puts high priority on safety. With additional faculties as a boat distributor, equipment manufacturer, and repair provider, RowAmerica can

Completed in December 2015, the improved facility has allowed the crews to get out on the water twice already this winter - something which hasn't happened for a few years! There is often a substantial opportunity cost associated with removing conventional wing riggers in order to maximize the storage space in the boathouse. Many athletes and crews will argue the time taken to dismantle each boat after the session comes at a high price for the amount of space gained. How much space is gained from storing the boat and riggers separately? How to Work with Boatmen article hits the mark with readers That was a terrific article by your writer,, Jon K.   I am coach, and was a carpenter for 12 years before taking over as director of our rowing club.  We are fortunate enough to have a volunteer boatman working with us.   I am all too familiar with the plights you mentioned.  As a tradesman, I am also wired like a boatman, and I thought the article was spot-on.

If your rowing club has any number of wing rigger boats, you'll be familiar with the struggle of fitting multiple boats into the available boathouse space. If you use quick-release wing riggers and put two singles or doubles on a rack, then storing the riggers is your new problem.  Their burly dimensions make them challenging to store efficiently, which compromises the overall number of boats you can fit into your boatshed. Space Saver Rowing Systems have the solution! Our Wing Rigger Brackets will maximise the space for the boat

Are you tired of straining furiously to retrieve boats at dangerous heights, from unstable footings? Or perhaps your boatshed lacks the required floor space to store all of your boats effectively, making it difficult to access them when you need to - costing you valuable time on the water. If your boat house has vertical roof space that is un-used - take a look at this video. Let us introduce the solution to all your boat storage problems! The Space Saver Rowing Systems mechanical
