The 2011 USRowing Annual Convention took place in Hartford, Connecticut last week and was a huge success.  The convention attracted a number of the most important coaches and personalities in the sport of rowing and there were some fantastic presentations made on a variety of topics. Read the full convention review.

SSRS would like to send a big thank you to Houston Rowing Club, who recently purchased seven single Sliding Boat Racks. It was another very successful installation for SSRS and Houston Rowing Club can now use the extra space in their clubrooms for more equipment and more members.

Over the next 2 weeks Douglas Lumsden, owner and founder of Space Saver Rowing Systems will be in the United States to help with the installation of a couple of Mechanical Quad Stackers in Ann Arbor. While Douglas is in the US, he will be attending and live blogging from two rowing conferences.

US Rowing Annual Convention

The first conference is the US Rowing Annual Convention which will include the Advanced Coaches Conference 2011. The annual convention is set to take place on December 1-4 in Hartford, Connecticut. The advanced coaches conference will take place on the last two days of the convention with a full day on Saturday Dec 3rd and a half day on Sunday Dec 4th. Douglas will be live blogging the three following sessions from this event:

3. Liz Trond - How little you really need to win races
