All About Space Saver Oar Brackets.

The SSRS was started by a rower, Douglas Lumsden, who felt there was a "better way" to organise his rowing club's shed so that expensive equipment could be found, cared for and stored by both novices and experienced rowers. B (Douglas has a philosophy of developing items that fit a rowing need and will be around for many years to come. A (Douglas's philosophy is to develop products which are tested and evaluated in a rowing environment, by rowers, so that the final design is relevant and useful to rowers).

The first successful "better way' design was Space Saver Oar Brackets which has been well received and has attracted many positive comments about its simplicity. The oar bracket holds 16 oars that are independently retrievable in a space of 220mm X 1000mm. SSRS staff enjoy "the slide of hull through water" but understand the immense effort required to get a boat on the water in terms of resources, the dedication of rowers, club/committee members and coaches.
